In Zhukovsky, on the SJ-100 aircraft with serial number 97003, the engine reverse mode PD-8 developed by UEC Rostech was tested for the first time. During the tests, the operation of the reverse device was studied with different wing mechanization configurations.

The reverse mode is a technology that directs thrust in the opposite direction to the aircraft's movement to slow it down. All modern airliners use this mode to reduce speed and stop on the takeoff and landing runway.

The tests confirmed the effectiveness of the engine reverse system.
