An almost relegious movie made to appeal to the better conscripts to the corrupt SA, to try to create a better spirit among the innocent National Socialist youth entering a militia where, due to poverty and unemployment, many bad and unsuitable elements had entered. In the depths of the Great Depression and in the waning days of the crumbling Weimar Republic, a poor Berlin youth is torn between loyalty to his unemployed Communist father and his ever-growing fascination of the Hitler Youth movement.
