Exploring Lake Navarino and beyond. Day 2 (Harvey, Bunbury, Busselton)

Day two of our Lake Navarino getaway. We start the morning having breakfast on the cabin porch, surrounded by birds: magpies, parrots, and other curious visitors. After feeding them and watching their little squabbles, we head out to explore Harvey, where we find an abandoned house, and later visit Bunbury’s peaceful riverside park with its stone labyrinth. In Busselton, we wander among statues that tell stories of the 19th century, pass by the old prison and post office, and admire one of the longest jetties in the world. The day ends with a quiet, slightly eerie drive back to Lake Navarino, and Cheeky’s final night walk under the stars.
