Johnny Carson--first and last appearances, 1950 and 1994 #johnnycarson

In honor of Johnny's 100th birthday, I put together this first-ever appearance of Johnny Carson at the age of 25 years and 63 days, filmed on Christmas day, 1950 when Johnny was the host of a local television show called "The Squirrel's Nest".

And then, Johnny's final surprise appearance on Late Night with David Letterman, when he showed up to deliver the Top Ten list. The audience gave Johnny a 90 second standing ovation.

Johnny never appeared on television again, although he did live another 10 1/2 years.

I had to clean up the vocals on this, colorized the video, enhanced the video on David Letterman through some layering because the audio didn't fit.
