The FBI arrested individuals in Dearborn, Michigan, in connection with a potential ISIS-inspired terror plot. FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed the operation via social media.
According to law enforcement sources, the suspects were inspired by Ammar Abdulmajid-Mohamed Said, a 19-year-old former Michigan Army National Guard member arrested in May for planning an ISIS-linked mass shooting at a U.S. Army facility in Warren, Michigan. While the Halloween plot was not fully developed, investigators monitored concerning online chat activity, including references to “pumpkin day” and discussions involving AK-47 training at shooting ranges.
