1076 2 Tim.1.1-18 Remembering the Past to Serve in the Present

Paul writes his final letter from prison, urging Timothy to remember his heritage of faith and rekindle the gift God gave him. He is to stand unashamed of Christ and the gospel, drawing courage from God’s power, not fear. Paul reminds him that God’s saving purpose was planned before time and fulfilled in Christ. Though many deserted Paul, Onesiphorus remained loyal. Timothy must likewise persevere—remembering, guarding the gospel, and serving courageously through the Holy Spirit’s strength.
