On October 29th, 2025, interstellar visitor 3I/ATLAS did something that left astronomers speechless. As it reached perihelion, its brightness exploded at twice the expected rate, losing 40 times more water than predicted. But that's just the beginning of this mystery.

WHAT'S REALLY HAPPENING:
• Explosive brightening that defies models
• No dust tail - only gas emissions (highly unusual)
• 33 billion tons of mass traveling at 130,000 mph
• 7.5 billion years old - older than our entire solar system
• Radiation-processed crust 50-65 feet deep
• Perfectly timed activation at perihelion

THE BIG QUESTIONS:
Harvard astronomer Avi Loeb has formally requested NASA release all data on 3I/ATLAS. Why? What's in that data that hasn't been shared? The James Webb Space Telescope revealed this object has been fundamentally transformed by billions of years of cosmic radiation - but what's underneath that irradiated shell?

Scientists admit they don't know what will happen next as 3I/ATLAS moves away from the Sun. Will it fade as expected? Or will it do something even more unexpected?
