USS Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group (CSG-12) is now moving west, currently located south of Sicily and about 90 kilometers northeast of Malta. Despite growing rumors, the Ford is unlikely to reach the Caribbean before the first shots are fired. Its movement appears to be a deliberate diversion tactic.
