Senator Eric Schmitt Demands Accountability and Watergate-Style Hearings Over Judge Boasberg’s Conduct

Senator Eric Schmitt denounced Judge James Boasberg for allegedly acting with political bias against President Donald Trump and other Republican lawmakers. According to Schmitt, Boasberg had delivered a speech prior to receiving the cases in which he expressed his intention to “thwart the Trump agenda,” despite not being the assigned judge and being on vacation when he obtained the files.

The senator questioned whether the judge had been tipped off in advance about the cases and described his actions as sufficient grounds for impeachment proceedings. “There must be accountability. We should have Watergate-style hearings for months,” Schmitt emphasized.

He also warned that the judicial system cannot be used to punish citizens for their political affiliation. “In this country, you can’t put people in jail just because they wear a red or blue jersey,” he concluded.
