Response to Questions About Russian Alignment in Nicaragua 🇳🇮

After my discussion about Nicaragua's current relationship with Russia, several people have asked about factors involving being aligned with Russia and how that fits into things. And I think that there is a big misunderstanding between working with a country and being aligned. Nicaragua is a true third world country (unaligned), and having a relationship with Russia seems to be completely out of context. No one claims that Nicaragua is aligned with the USA even though they have more of a relationship (mostly because of proximity.)
