Brown Mogotsi Survives Alleged Hit-Attempt in Vosloorus

Businessman and prominent figure before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry, Brown Mogotsi (Oupa “Brown” Mogotsi) escaped unharmed after gunmen opened fire on his vehicle in Vosloorus, on the East Rand, Monday night. His car was found with more than eight bullet holes. The South African Police Service is investigating a suspected attempted murder and has recovered the bullet-riddled vehicle from the scene. Mogotsi’s safety is a heightened concern given his role as a witness in high-profile corruption and criminal-justice investigations.
