On a recent night hike in the Rocky Mountains we came across a small elk herd that didn't seem to notice us. The herd bull was bugling only 100 feet from away, while the females grazed quietly - one which was only about 50 feet distant as I filmed her on thermal cam. While this 3:30 minute 4K thermal footage may not be that exciting to watch, it was extremely exciting for us: we were only yards from a very powerful half ton mammal! Enjoy! Lochlainn
