Living as Those Made Alive in Christ

In Colossians 3, Paul exhorts the Colossians to set their hearts and minds on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. He urges them to put to death earthly desires and to rid themselves of anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language. He encourages them to put on the new self and to clothe themselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. He also emphasizes the importance of forgiving one another and letting the peace of Christ rule in their hearts.
