PROP 50 RESULTS & Nationwide Election Night Results
Tonight marks one of the most consequential election nights in recent memory.
Across the nation, races from city halls to governor’s mansions will help define the political trajectory heading into 2026—and early indications show significant momentum for Republican candidates in traditionally blue territory.
In New York City, the mayoral race has drawn national attention.
The Democrat nominee, Zohran Mamdani, a self-described Socialist whose policies mirror the radical left’s agenda, is currently leading in the polls.
His platform of defunding police departments, imposing wealth taxes, and expanding government control over housing has alarmed both moderates and conservatives alike.
His brand of “Democrat socialism” is nothing more than communism repackaged—a direct threat to the city that has long symbolized capitalism, enterprise, and opportunity.
If Mamdani’s lead holds, it would represent a stunning political shift in a city once defined by free-market innovation and Jewish-American influence.
The outcome will test whether New Yorkers, frustrated by crime and economic stagnation, will continue to align with progressive ideals or reject them in favor of stability and growth.
Meanwhile, in New Jersey, Republicans are performing unexpectedly well. Once considered a Democrat stronghold, the Garden State has seen a late surge in GOP support.
In the 2022 election, Republican Lee Zeldin nearly shocked the nation by winning 44% of the vote in New York’s gubernatorial race—a state long dominated by Democrats.
His performance was the strongest by a Republican in decades and revealed growing voter frustration with crime, taxes, and progressive policies.
Zeldin’s campaign gained traction in suburban and even urban areas once thought untouchable for the GOP.
The close result proved that Democrats are steadily losing support in their traditional strongholds, as voters across the state—especially in New York City’s outer boroughs—demanded safety, accountability, and real solutions over political slogans.
The shift signals growing discontent with high taxes, rising crime, and declining public services under Democrat governance.
In Virginia, three statewide races are too close to call—Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Attorney General.
The outcome will serve as a bellwether for the national political mood.
Republicans are seeking to retain control and solidify recent gains made during Governor Glenn Youngkin’s tenure, while Democrats hope to reclaim influence by tying their opponents to national controversies.
From coast to coast, voters are confronting two competing visions of America: one centered on government control and ideological conformity, and another grounded in liberty, security, and economic revival.
The results of tonight’s elections will send a clear signal about which vision Americans prefer as the nation approaches the 2026 midterms.
Stay tuned for live election night coverage—including real-time updates from New York City, Virginia, and New Jersey—as results come in and America decides its next chapter.
