Survival despite the pain is resistance

Survival despite the pain is resistance. Hope is resistance. JOY is resistance. And we will continue to aid in all of these things for Palestinians in Gaza.

International organizations for aid and shelter are nowhere to be seen and less than 25% of agreed upon aid trucks are coming into Gaza. The situation is beyond catastrophic and Palestinians in Gaza find themselves picking up their own pieces.

The “Yalla Na’merha” (let’s build it) campaign aims at bringing hope back for Palestinians in Gaza. The number one request among those on the ground is to go back to their neighborhoods and receive support in bring life back to their areas.

This is what we did in Tal Al Hawa on October 30th when 25-30 team members from the Translating Falasteen (@translating_falasteen) x The Sameer Project team cleaned the streets and buildings and put up tarps for four households. In addition to the laborious work, in order to bring joy for the children, we arranged a Dabke dance performance and distributed falafel to people in the area.
