The phrase "my opponent" is now toxic

Congrats to a solid campaign run by Abigail Spanberger. Prepare for policy analysts and polls giving 1000 opinions about how national politics spoiled this race for the VA GOP. There's much to be discussed about poor policy decisions, but Winsome's campaign was run so poorly I don't think she even made it that far.

Fear of "the enemy" is the heart of the political divide, and voters want more. Authenticity and clear positions are the way forward. If you look at the races from last night and the ongoing primaries across the country, you can see that the phrase "my opponent" is quickly becoming politically toxic.
