Gedonia 2 v0.31.1 episode 25, archer vs elite guards

Banditry worked so well against the elite guards in nightmare difficulty. How does the other agility-based talent fair against the same enemies?

Depends a lot on terrain and which skills the archer is using. Aimed Shot is great for dealing with enemies along an infinitely long and straight hallway. The archer can run away faster than enemies can catch up to you. Aimed Shot penetrates through enemies and deals decent damage per target. Rain of Arrows, especially the namesake variation of this skill, can be used the same as most magic: get your character up on a high perch, spam your skill onto enemies below, those enemies can't reach you, those enemies are eventually all defeated. Enemies that are preoccupied with trying to approach you won't be able to block the raining arrows while running around in circles.

Nature mage does everything better than archers. Offense, defense, single target damage, area damage, disrupting enemy movement, managing resources (archer's arrows, mage's mana); archery isn't a bad talent but it's the second best at being its own playstyle.

An important detail I haven't been using with archery is arrow value. I've been using the basic arrows with no bonuses because you get the largest quantity compared to the resource cost. There are better arrows available. I haven't tested the efficiency rate between how often those high value arrows can be produced versus how quickly you use them up. More with this next time you see this character.
