Doing Everything, Connecting with No One?

Do your holidays ever pass in a blur? I know mine used to. I’d spend weeks preparing, decorating, and trying to make everything perfect—only to realize later that I barely took the time to enjoy being with my family. Like so many parents, especially moms, I’ve felt that same exhaustion and guilt that comes from doing too much. But over the years, I’ve learned that the most meaningful gift we can give at Christmas isn’t something we can buy or wrap—it’s our full attention.

In this episode of The Financially Confident Christian, I open up about how busyness once stole the joy from my holiday season. I share a personal story about my mother’s drive to make Christmas perfect, the exhaustion that often followed, and the lessons I learned from her example. I talk about how I’ve been learning to slow down, set boundaries, and focus on connection instead of perfection.
