“When the Floor Drops Out” | Job 1–5

🌅 Good morning, Grace family!
In today’s 5-minute devotional, we walk with Job through unimaginable loss — and through our own.

I share a raw, personal update:
• November: We said goodbye to our golden retriever, Lola.
• January: My brother went home to Jesus.
• Just days ago: Violet’s $5,000 tumor surgery came back as the most aggressive cancer imaginable.

It felt like the floor dropped out *again*.
But here’s the truth Job teaches us in the dark:
✨ *God never leaves the room.*
✨ He is *near to the brokenhearted* (Psalm 34:18).
✨ *He wounds, but He binds up. He shatters, but His hands heal.* (Job 5:17–18)

Hope isn’t denial.
Hope is refusing to write the final chapter without God.
