Taylor Sheridan is Writing the Call of Duty Movie & LEAVING Paramount

The upcoming Call of Duty movie got some great news that Paramount saw fit to attach a writer and director combo that knows the genre and has the potential to crank out a very enjoyable movie. Peter Berg of Lone Survivor and Friday Night Lights fame will direct the Video Game adaptation and Taylor Sheridan will be writing the script.

This is big news on its own, but coupled with the revelation that Sheridan will be departing Paramount in the near future, this makes the story even more interesting. Considering he is the man that single-handedly kept the studio afloat with his numerous hit shows, allowing him to walk because new CEO David Ellison could come find common ground is the first big fumble of the Skydance tenure.
