The Thessalonians’ Faith and Example

In the first Chapter of 1 Thessalonians, Paul begins with greetings and thanksgiving for the Thessalonians, commending their work of faith, labor of love, and steadfastness of hope in the Lord Jesus Christ. He mentions how they turned from idols to serve the living and true God. Paul acknowledges the Thessalonians as models to all believers, as their faith in God has become known everywhere. He mentions how they eagerly wait for the Son of God, Jesus, to return from heaven.
