Small town lawyer Simon Latch has problems, business debt , gambling debts and an impending divorce.
The potential solution to these problems appears in the form of a new client, an 85 year old widow who needs a new will and states that she is sitting on a $20 million fortune.Simon takes care of her but when she dies in hospital after a car crash he finds that he is a murder suspect as she has not died of natural causes.
The story is Grisham at his best , great courtroom drama and a clever murder mystery - well worth a read !
