The Mind of Jesus: Part II — The Forsaken Moment

Darkness gathered like a shroud, and Heaven itself seemed to hold its breath.
Every nerve cried out, every thought a whisper between agony and love.

Father… why have You forsaken Me?
The words trembled from His soul — not rebellion, but heartbreak.
For the first time, He could not feel the warmth of the Father’s presence.
The silence was unbearable.
But He stayed, because humanity could not.

His mind turned to the twelve — His friends, His family.
Peter… you wanted to fight for Me, and now you hide in shame.
John… you stayed close, but your heart is breaking.
Thomas… I can already feel your doubt.
Judas… oh, Judas.
The pain of betrayal cut deeper than the nails.

He saw them scattered, afraid, unsure of what would come next.
Will they remember My words? Will they still believe when they can’t see Me?
He wanted to gather them one last time, to tell them it was all worth it.
But the weight of the world held Him to the cross.

His gaze found Mary through the haze of pain.
Woman, behold your son.
Then to John, whose tears mirrored His own.
Behold your mother.
Even in death, He was still giving life — still loving, still protecting.

Inside, His spirit whispered through the torment:
I’m almost there, Father… don’t let them fall apart. Don’t let their hearts give up.

And Heaven wept, for love had never been this broken —
and yet, never this strong.
