The evil in sectarianism is that it tries to divide societies on trifling differences. But it is not an insurmountable defect. Its utility is that it brings people together. It protects the novice. It educates the community. It aids the stranded and the less fortunate ones. Above all it preserves and propagates the ideal of the race. What family is for the physical growth, sectarianism is for the moral and spiritual growth.
