As the elevator doors opened, Shinskey stepped inside, adjusting the cuff of his sleeve with his usual composure. Naomi was already there — quiet, graceful, holding her small red umbrella. Raindrops clung to its surface, catching the light like tiny sparks. For a heartbeat, he simply looked at her — and something inside him, long asleep, stirred.

Days passed, and their meetings became routine — almost fated. Every morning, the same elevator, the same brief journey between floors. At first, it was silence — polite nods, faint smiles. Then came short exchanges about the rain, the city, the lateness of time. Slowly, the air between them grew lighter, as if the elevator itself had learned to breathe.

Each day’s conversation left behind an aftertaste — a quiet warmth that followed Shinskey long after the doors had closed. Naomi’s laughter, soft and sudden, began to haunt his thoughts like a melody he couldn’t forget.

One morning, without any words rehearsed, Shinskey stepped into the elevator holding a single red rose. Naomi turned, surprised, her eyes wide but gentle. He offered it to her — no explanation, no gesture grand — just a rose, trembling slightly in his hand.

Naomi looked at him for a long moment before taking it. She didn’t speak, but her faint smile said everything words could not. The elevator rose, floor by floor, but for them, time had already stopped.

From that day on, every silence between them meant something.

🎧🎶Song: Shakalaka Boom Boom.🎶🎧
From Abrar Nayeem's short Animated Film "The #Elevator.

[Verse 1]
The city hums in silver light,
We rise between the day and night,
Your shadow moves, then fades away,
A stranger’s gaze I can’t obey.
A heartbeat lost between the floors,
The silence hums, I’m wanting more,
Our reflections start to blur,
And I forget who I was before.

[Chorus]
We were strangers in the air,
Floating where the lights don’t care,
Trapped in glass, I saw you there,
And love began to bloom in despair.
And love began to bloom in despair.

Shakalaka Boom Boom...
Shakalaka Boom Boom...
Shakalaka Boom Boom...

[Verse 2]
You gave a rose in quiet grace,
A trembling peace, a burning space,
The thorns still whispered in your hand,
A fragile truth I understand.
The world outside kept spinning cold,
But in that lift, our fate took hold,
The clock resumed, but not our hearts,
We fell apart and fell apart.

[Chorus]
We were strangers in the air,
Floating where the lights don’t care,
Trapped in glass, I saw you there,
And love began to bloom in despair.
And love began to bloom in despair.

Shakalaka Boom Boom...
Shakalaka Boom Boom...
Shakalaka Boom Boom...

[Bridge]
Now every floor feels like a fall,
Every rise, a dream too small,
The rose has dried, but scent remains,
A memory pulsing through my veins.

[Final Chorus]
We were strangers in the air,
Floating where the lights don’t care,
Trapped in glass, I saw you there,
And love began to bloom in despair.
And love began… to bloom… in despair.

Shakalaka Boom Boom..
Shakalaka Boom Boom...
Shakalaka Boom Boom..
