Which Miracles Inspire Believers Today?
Assalamu Alaikum, sisters, brothers, friends and elders, we welcome you to our Islamic informative and educational series "The Beginning of Light" and today we are explaining Which Miracles Inspire Believers Today?
In every age, miracles have been signs of divine power and mercy. From the staff of Prophet Musa turning into a serpent, to Prophet Isa healing the blind, and the splitting of the moon for our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) — these miracles remind us that nothing is impossible for Allah. They strengthen faith and awaken hearts to His might. In this video, we will explore some of the greatest miracles that continue to inspire believers even today and reflect on how these divine events shape our trust, patience, and understanding of Allah’s wisdom in the modern world.
Miracles are divine signs that manifest the power and authority of Allah Almighty. They are not ordinary events but extraordinary acts that break the natural order by His command. Allah mentions in the Holy Quran that He sends miracles to strengthen faith, guide hearts, and affirm the truth of His chosen prophets. These miracles are not limited to history; their message and impact continue to inspire believers even in the present day.
The Quran records countless miracles performed through the prophets of Allah. Prophet Musa’s staff turning into a serpent and the parting of the Red Sea are among the most well-known. Allah says in Surah Ash-Shu‘ara, verse 63:
“Then We inspired Moses: Strike the sea with your staff, and it parted, and each part was like a mighty towering mountain.”
This verse reflects Allah’s absolute power over creation. The miracle of the sea’s division was not merely to save the Israelites, but to remind humanity that divine help comes when one trusts Allah wholeheartedly.
Prophet Isa, peace be upon him, was also granted many miracles by the will of Allah. As mentioned in Surah Al-Ma’idah, verse 110:
“When I taught you the Book and Wisdom, the Torah and the Gospel, and when you made from clay a bird by My permission, and you breathed into it, and it became a bird by My permission.”
These acts of healing the sick and reviving the dead were proofs of divine mercy and reminders of the ultimate power of Allah over life and death.
The most lasting and living miracle is the Holy Quran itself. Unlike other miracles limited by time and place, the Quran remains a timeless guidance for all generations. Allah challenges mankind in Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 23:
“And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down upon Our servant, then produce a surah like it if you are truthful.”
No human being has ever been able to meet this challenge. The Quran’s language, depth, and divine knowledge remain unmatched. Every verse reveals wisdom, science, and spirituality beyond human comprehension. For believers today, the Quran stands as a miracle that continues to illuminate hearts and transform lives.
The life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is filled with miracles that affirmed his prophethood. Among them is the splitting of the moon, a powerful event mentioned in Surah Al-Qamar, verse 1:
“The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has split.”
When the people of Makkah demanded proof, the Prophet (PBUH) pointed to the moon, and by Allah’s command, it split into two distinct parts before returning to its place. This was a sign for those who doubted him that he was truly the Messenger of Allah.
Another remarkable miracle was "the Isra and Mi‘raj", the Night Journey and Ascension. Allah took His beloved Prophet (PBUH) from Masjid al-Haram in Makkah to Masjid al-Aqsa in Jerusalem and then raised him through the heavens. This event is mentioned in Surah Al-Isra, verse 1:
“Glory be to Him who took His servant by night from the Sacred Mosque to the Farthest Mosque, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing.”
This journey was not only a miracle of distance but a spiritual elevation, where the Prophet ? was honored with direct communication with his Lord.
Even today, miracles inspire believers in subtle and profound ways. The miracle of life itself, the complexity of human creation, and the balance in nature are daily signs of divine perfection. Allah says in Surah Fussilat, verse 53:
“We will show them Our signs in the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth.”
Modern science continues to uncover truths that reflect Quranic wisdom revealed over fourteen centuries ago. The formation of the universe, the development of the human embryo, and the precision in creation all testify to the truth of the divine word.
Miracles are not meant to replace faith but to strengthen it. They remind us that Allah’s power is limitless and that human understanding is finite. True believers recognize that every heartbeat, every breath, and every answered prayer is a living miracle. The Prophet (PBUH) said in a hadith recorded in Sahih Bukhari:
“Do not wish to see miracles, but strengthen your faith in Allah, for the believer’s heart itself is the greatest miracle.”
Faith transforms the unseen into reality. When a believer trusts Allah, they begin to see His signs in every corner of existence.
Miracles are not confined to the past. They continue to unfold in the lives of those who believe, pray, and reflect. Whether it is the miracle of guidance through the Quran, the mercy in healing, or the daily blessings we receive, each moment testifies to Allah’s nearness. To recognize a miracle, one only needs a heart full of faith and eyes that see beyond the material world.
Miracles are reminders that Allah’s power knows no limits and His mercy knows no boundaries. Every breath, every answered prayer, and every moment of guidance is a living miracle for those who believe. From the Quran to the wonders of creation, divine signs continue to surround us. Let us open our hearts to see them, strengthen our faith, and remain grateful to the One who controls all things. May these miracles renew our trust, deepen our love for Allah, and inspire us to walk the path of faith with patience, reflection, and unwavering hope.
