I just watched the clip of Jennifer Welch where she openly declares that conservatives should be “wanted dead” or else the far-left will “come after” those who don’t support them. This isn’t political rhetoric—it’s a threat. In this reaction, I’m calling it out for exactly what it is: dangerous, divisive, and completely unacceptable.

Welch didn’t say “we disagree” or “we’ll fight with ideas”—she said: “Get on board with wanting conservatives dead — or else we’re coming after you.” That is intimidation, not debate.
One of the foundations of democratic politics is the idea that political opponents are still human beings with rights. Advocating their death or punishment removes that foundation.
The clip is a reminder: when rhetoric escalates from “we oppose you” to “we’ll target you,” we cross from politics into coercion.
Podcasters, hosts, influencers reach large audiences. When they normalize threats of violence or death, it amplifies risk for individuals and communities.
Welch’s platform means her words matter. They influence listeners. We must ask: should this be acceptable?
