If the Sun’s light really took 8 minutes and 20 seconds to reach us, we wouldn’t ever see the Sun.

The Sun wouldn’t ever be visible to us, if it took 8 minutes and 30 seconds for photons to arrive. We would only ever see light but with no light source. It is once again ridiculous.
