Maintenance logs reveal the plane had previous problems.. The left tail-wing engine fell off on the runway before leaving airport. Pilot was already past the moment of no return.. He kept the nose up but ultimately could not get high enough altitude. The plane clipped buildings and then rolled on its side, most likely due to imbalance of weight and thrust.. The pilot did a courageous attempt to correct the emergency and was no fault of his. Stress fracture is the most likely cause and possible negligence of not taking it out of service after major corrosion repairs..
