“Anybody who's ever studied military history, especially in the Pacific, realizes immediately that (1) the distances are huge and (2) you can't get to China…without going through all those islands.

…[The CCP] want to control that. And by the way, controlling means controlling all their communications…fiber optic cables, they already own all those…and they have won over a majority of the parliament.”
