Episode 1 — “Somebody’s Gonna Need Me”

That morning, I was tired. My knee hurt, my mind was full, and honestly—I didn’t want to deal with anybody.
But I heard that quiet voice in my spirit say, “Be patient. Somebody’s gonna need you.”

So I walked. Down the block, past the corner store, past faces I see every day. Then I saw her—an older lady standing by the bus stop, grocery bags broken, cans rolling everywhere. People walked by like she was invisible.

I sighed, but I knew—this was the reason I got up today.
I went over, picked up the cans, and said, “Ma’am, let me help you.”

She looked at me like she’d seen an angel. “You don’t even know what this means to me,” she said softly. “My husband just passed, and nobody’s helped me since.”

Right there, in the middle of the Bronx, I felt it—that shift.
The world didn’t get quieter, but my heart did.

Sometimes, God doesn’t send you to preach.
He sends you to pick something up.
