The Gaza Genocide was the context within which Tuesday's election should be understood. The election of Mamdani as the new Mayor of New York City was a repudiation of Israel's influence over the government of the United States. The guy is strong, articulate, and appears to have backbone. Trump was not happy and dismissed the election results as due to (1) his not being on the ballot and (2) the government being shut down, which it was really a rejection of US support for genocide. The Tucker interview of Nick Fuentes against the background of the Charlie Kirk shooting (real or staged) creates a "perfect storm" to resist AIPAC and its control of Congress. I agree with Kevin Barrett that these are positive developments (Fuentes and Mamdani) that bode well for the future. No doubt, Wall Street will do everything it can to defeat his agenda. Rich Lowry's concerns are not well-founded and there are no reasons to flee New York. Let's see how this plays out.
