Waging War

We're in a spiritual war whether we realize it or not. The enemy is real, active, and has a target on your back. But here's the truth we can't forget: our battle isn't against people—not Democrats or Republicans, not our spouse or children, not even within our church walls. Our real battle is spiritual.

2 Corinthians 10:4 reminds us that "the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds." We can't fight spiritual battles with worldly weapons. Prayer, fasting, God's Word, being in church—these are the weapons that win.

We face three enemies: Satan himself (who is real but not all-powerful), ourselves (our flesh that wants what it wants instead of what God wants), and the world system that constantly works against God's truth.

Satan's greatest trick? Convincing you he's not real. If you don't believe he exists, you'll never resist him. He'll keep you too busy for prayer, too distracted for church, too consumed to ask eternal questions. He'll normalize sin, fracture families, and divide churches—all while whispering that truth is relative and happiness is all that matters.

But we serve the One who won the victory over sin, death, and the grave. The question isn't whether there's a battle—it's whether you'll be a soldier in it.

"A volunteer for Jesus, a soldier true. Others have enlisted. Why not you?"

Onward, Christian soldiers. The battle is real, but so is our God who reigns.
