Slaying Giants

One of my favorite movies is “Rocky” played by Sylvester
Stallone. It is a classic tale of the underdog prevailing against the
big dog. I am sure this theme had its origins in the Biblical
account of David and Goliath. Perhaps we are compelled to cheer
for the underdog because each of us at one time or another in
our life have been confronted by a giant. Maybe it was a bully in
school. Perhaps it was a failing marriage. Still for others it may
have been financial collapse. Whatever the reason, God had a
purpose for including the account of David defeating the giant
Goliath. David Defeated His Giant! How Can We Slay Our Giant?
