Episode 1343: What is THE LAW of God and should I keep any part of it? Part 17

Hello everyone. In tonight's Bible study we go off topic to answer a question from one of our listeners on the youtube channel, Treasure in Every Verse.

The question is are Believer's today under Grace obligated to keep the dietary Laws written in the Law given to Moses.

The short answer is, no. Will it hurt anyone to keep the dietary laws? No, as long as one is not attempting to declare that you can OBTAIN GOD'S RIGHTEOUSNESS through keeping the dietary commandments.

Hence we take the study one step at a time by answering several questions.
1. What is the Law?
2. What is the God's purpose for giving that Law?
3. To whom did God give the Law?
4. Why did God give the Law only to them?
5. Is any portion of the Law applicable to Believer's today?

This not meant to be an exhaustive study because that would take us months maybe even years. It is meant to bring us to a proper knowledge base of what the scriptures actually states concerning humans abilities to obey God's moral, ceremonial, and civil law.
