Sherie Benbrook

BIOGRAPHY – SHERIE BENBROOK: Registered Nurse, Labor & Delivery Specialist, Nurse Advocate, Community Leader.

With 24 years of nursing experience, Sherie Benbrook is a dedicated labour and delivery nurse known for clinical excellence, patient advocacy, and a deep commitment to improving the healthcare system. A creative problem solver, she developed a streamlined process to empower nurses who were caring for a mother experiencing a foetal loss. By removing the most burdensome elements of charting, nurses are focused more on their patients personal and emotional needs.

During a time when the “why” many times can’t be answered, the prioritizing of patient’s personal needs over charting makes a difference. This approach has allowed nurses to focus on support during one of the most sensitive and difficult moments a family can experience.

She currently serves as a Nurse Representative for the California Nurses Association (CNA) at Kaiser Permanente, where she advocates for the rights and working conditions of nursing staff ensuring that the nurses are empowered to deliver the highest level of care to their patients.

Outside of her clinical work, she is an elected member of the Fresno County Republican Central Committee. In this role, she works alongside local elected officials to shape public policy, particularly advocating for healthcare professionals and addressing issues such as regulatory overreach by government agencies. Her ability to bridge clinical insight with policy engagement helps strengthen both healthcare systems and the communities they serve.

In all aspects of her life, Sherie is grounded in her faith. She is grateful for every opportunity she is given and sees her work in nursing, advocacy, and leadership to serve God’s purpose. Her goal is to bring glory to God through compassionate care, integrity, and service to others.

In addition to her professional and civic roles, she has raised four children, three of whom are now adults. This personal journey has deepened her empathy, resilience, and commitment to serving others. With a heart for service, a foundation in faith, and a passion for excellence in healthcare, Sherie Benbrook brings a unique and valuable perspective to any medical committee or healthcare initiative.

SHERIE BENBROOK’S TOPIC

Sherie will be sharing about what she saw happening and not happening during Covid. She notes that before Covid, the staff of medical professionals always debriefed after a medical incident but during Covid that did not happen. This did not allow for reflection or healing for the health care providers.

Importantly, Sherie saw that there was absolutely no informed consent before administering the Covid vaccines. She believes that doctors noticed that when they gave information to get proper informed consent re any vaccines, that the uptake of vaccines went down. Sherie did confront her superior doctor regarding this issue. She has much to talk about!

To summarize her talk:

1. There was no proper informed consent

2. It was unethical to make claims when we had no data on the vaccine.

3. The debriefing usually done when traumatic medical events occurred was never done, thereby traumatizing the health care providers and the patients alike.

Nurse Sherie is committed to seeing healing and medical ethics come out of this trauma so nothing like Covid ever happens again.
