Bullyville’s James McGibney Just Experienced a Media Knockout

Investigative journalist Frank Parlato has thrown down the gauntlet to Bullyville founder James McGibney, challenging him to a public debate over one of the most controversial criminal cases in modern America — the conviction of Jerry Sandusky.

McGibney, known for his online crusades and scorched-earth tactics, has attacked Parlato for suggesting that Sandusky was wrongly convicted. “A jury found Sandusky guilty on 45 counts,” McGibney ranted online, promising to “illustrate how much of a monster Parlato is for trying to get this pedophile out of prison.” Parlato fired back: “You’re starting with a conclusion, James. An honest investigator begins with questions, not answers.”

Parlato says he’s spent two years reviewing police reports, transcripts, and affidavits, finding no physical proof, no contemporaneous complaints, and plenty of contradictions. He points to inconsistencies in the accusers’ stories, conflicts of interest among prosecutors, and exculpatory evidence that was suppressed. “For 15 years of alleged serial abuse, there’s not one shred of forensic evidence,” he said.

The journalist’s position is supported by a roster of respected academics, including Frederick Crews, Elizabeth Loftus, Carol Tavris, Noam Chomsky, and others who have called the case a tragic miscarriage of justice built on recovered-memory therapy and media hysteria.

McGibney responded with profanity-laced attacks and threats to go “scorched earth,” while Parlato countered with an open invitation: “Anytime, anywhere, before any fair moderator. Bring your records, your facts — if you have any — and I’ll bring the truth.”

The challenge now hangs in the air. Will McGibney accept? Or will Bullyville stay behind the keyboard?

This debate could become a defining moment in the growing movement to revisit high-profile convictions tainted by emotion, therapy-driven “memory recovery,” and prosecutorial misconduct.
