Book 05 - Deuteronomy

The book of Deuteronomy details the ancient covenant codified between God and Israel, emphasizing that loving and obeying God with one's whole heart leads to blessings, while disobedience brings curses and disaster.

Deuteronomy also serves as a sermon from Moses, urging the new generation to be faithful and love God.

The core message from Moses is that God's grace is central to the covenant, and a life of faithfulness is expressed through love and obedience to His commandments.

A huge sub-theme in Deuteronomy is that ancient Israel should not feel better than the peoples they replaced; that God was simply replacing an abomination with what Moses termed as being a disappointingly faithless & a "stiff necked" people.
