Philippians 1:1-11

Our study today begins with Paul's introductory remarks to the church at Philippi. As you may recall from our introduction to this letter, Philippi was the first church in the west (modern Europe). Having received the truth of the gospel of Christ, this church became one of Paul's greatest supporters in prayer, encouragement, gifts and fellowship in the gospel. Paul loved the Philippians and they loved Paul. In these first few verses Paul overflows with joy in all his remembrance of the saints in Philippi.
