Trump Floats $2,000 Tariff Checks — Congress Shouldn’t Get One

I’m all for a $2,000 tariff check for Americans, but what exactly counts as “high income people”? I’d love to know what that means in Washington math.

A lot of Congressmen and women make $174,000 a year and have most of their work expenses covered — travel, staff, insurance, and generous office budgets. They get insider access, taxpayer perks, lifetime pensions after a few years of service, and guaranteed paychecks even during government shutdowns. They shouldn’t get a tariff check. But someone not in Congress who makes $174,000 should.

What do you think the cutoff should be?

No tariff checks for Congress.
