Location and Time: The high-intensity explosion happened around 6:52 pm near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station, a busy area swarming with people and vehicles at the time.
Impact: The blast originated in a slow-moving Hyundai i20 car and triggered a massive fire that gutted several nearby vehicles, including six cars, two e-rickshaws, and one autorickshaw. Eyewitnesses reported the blast was extremely loud, causing building windows to shatter and body parts to be scattered on the road.
Casualties: Initial reports indicate at least eight people have died and 24 are injured, with some news sources reporting higher death tolls. The injured were taken to Lok Nayak Hospital.
