Chaos in Seaside Heights on Sunday night. (May 25, 2025) Memorial Day weekend saw one of the most intense nights ever witnessed here. Multiple stabbings, pedestrians struck, and fights breaking out every few minutes from Hiering Ave to Dupont. It felt nonstop. Seaside Heights Police responded swiftly and professionally after a serious stabbing, and officers were already on scene applying a tourniquet to the victim. Shortly after, a large fight broke out on Grant Ave, where a firearm was recovered. Within seconds, a crowd of nearly 400 people scattered in every direction. A 10 PM curfew was enforced for anyone under 18, which helped clear the boardwalk earlier than usual. Support from Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office and Sheriff’s Department was also on the ground. Reports suggest over 40 arrests were made in a single night. This marks the third or fourth Memorial Day weekend I’ve covered in Seaside Heights and this one was by far the most chaotic.
