I just watched Shoe0nHead’s video “Men on Reddit Are Not Ok” where she explores the subreddit r/Kitch*ncels and shines a light on a deeply troubling pattern of bitterness, misogyny, and self-victimisation among certain men.

Venting is natural after rejection—but when venting becomes resentment toward an entire gender and fuels hostility, it crosses from healthy processing to toxicity.

r/Kitch*ncels posts show patterns: blaming women entirely for personal social failures, adopting identity as “cel” (involuntarily celibate) and amplifying self-pity rather than growth.

When you label yourself a victim, refuse personal accountability and lash out at others, the cycle deepens. Men’s communities about “lack of success with women” should include healing, strategy, growth—not just blame. The posts we see in the subreddit often lack the growth part.
