Dragons Beyond - Designer Walkthrough - Part 9

Melees and Combat walkthrough including discussion of Heroic Challenges and Fantastic Combat as opposed to the more time intensive Man to Man combat rules. In this small skirmish, 5 Elvin Heavy Foot (1 Hit Dice) led by a Heroic Spearman (Armored Footman/Fighting-Man 4th level) take on 8 Goblins (1 Hit Dice) led by an Anti-Heroic Swordsman (Chaotic Fighting-Man 4th level / Armored Footman). The Goblins are seemingly at a disadvantage because the combat is fought in full daylight.
