Everything that happens in the stories of the Biblical patriarchs is prophetic of the future of Israel and/or Israel's Messiah, Yeshua. For example, the two temporary repudiations of Sarah by Abraham (first in Egypt, then later in Gerar) are prophetic of the exiles of Ephraim and Judah. The binding of Isaac is prophetic of the crucifixion and resurrection of Yeshua....AND of the exile nd restoration of Israel.
