On November 10, 2025, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials confirmed that Latin Kings gang leaders issued a “shoot on sight” order targeting immigration enforcement agents in Chicago, warning officers to stay on high alert.

Just two months into Operation Midway Blitz, tensions are rising as residents opposing the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown clash with heavily armed federal agents.

During a Saturday operation in Little Village, shots were fired at officers, and a group threw a paint can and bricks at a Border Patrol vehicle, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The attack highlights the growing threat facing ICE and CBP agents amid escalating gang violence, political unrest, and immigration enforcement.
