The US Treasury and or Fed is scooping up all that gold. Once they reach 18,000–22,000 tonnes—and they are very close—they will start dumping it until gold drops to $200–$300. The Brits did a similar thing in 1997–99, and they depressed gold to $250 from $420. And they were able to do it with just 300 tonnes. Imagine if our Treasury dumps 3,000 tonnes. Today they have 17,890 tonnes plus 5,000 tonnes of foreign deposits. Hmm, just imagine. P.S. After the British dump, it took years for confidence to come back. Most gold is used in jewelry; very little in electronics. It will be zero in 2027 when quantum circuit boards, chips, cables, and storage devices appear based on photonic technology—zero!
