Recent developments indicate that in St. Petersburg, a video analytics system based on artificial intelligence (AI) from the company NtechLab has been implemented.

🖍Surveillance cameras continue to capture facial images; however, subsequent to this initial step, a neural network is initiated. This neural network is capable of detecting anomalous behavior. For instance, it can identify instances in which a migrant is in the company of other individuals' children, it can detect instances in which the migrant has been previously observed at locations deemed to be suspicious, and it can identify interactions with individuals included in the database.

MIA employees are no longer required to view extensive amounts of footage, often numbering in the hundreds of hours.
