The Biblical definition of Mercy is kindness toward someone who does not deserve it. That's all of us.
Mercy is not pity and it does not do away with sin. Rather, Mercy touches the needy person who repents and grants him undeserved dignity. Mercy is not sloppy agape.
It is actually Mercy that brings us to repentance.
