How Jesus Lived — Jesus Weeps

Before Jesus raised Lazarus, He stopped to weep.

📖 John 11:35 (CSB)

“Jesus wept.”

Two simple words that reveal the heart of our Savior.
He knew the miracle was coming — but He still took time to cry with the brokenhearted.
That’s who He is: the God who holds power over death, yet weeps with us in sorrow.

📖 John 11:33–36 (CSB)

“When Jesus saw her crying… he was deeply moved in his spirit and troubled…
Jesus wept.
So the Jews said, ‘See how he loved him!’”

💧 His authority doesn’t cancel His empathy.
💖 His strength doesn’t silence His compassion.
🌿 His tears remind us that grief and faith can coexist.

“The Lord is near the brokenhearted; he saves those crushed in spirit.”

💭 Reflection:

Do I believe Jesus understands my pain?

Am I willing to love others with that same compassion?

Do I rush past people’s sorrow — or sit with them in it like Jesus did?

You’re never more like Jesus than when you love deeply and weep with those who weep. 💛
